After getting out yesterday in the snow, I couldn't pass up another free day especially since we were supposed to be up in Carbondale enjoying the snow. So John and I headed up my favorite loop-high drive, bear creek, buckhorn. With the snow, it was slow going. Fisher wore his booties for the first time and they really helped protect his feet from building up ice. It was another chilly day with temperatures in the teens but the sun was out. The wind was gusting periodically which made for short periods of whiteouts and bitter cold hitting the exposed face. We survived and successfully finished the loop.
Looking back down Bear Creek Canyon! Lots of snow!
John heading up the trail.
Looking up the trail.
Fisher at the top of Buckhorn sporting his booties! I know he doesn't look that excited but that's his normal look! =) And he did have a fun day in the snow too!
